Conference: Part 1 - Saturday Morning

YAY!!! I love and adore General Conference! There will be four posts because one giant one would not be very fun to read (or skim and look at the pictures if you are like me)...
So for Saturday Morning Session, Meredith and I were the only ones home because we needed to do some classwork instead of going up to Aubrey's house in Salt Lake. Also Rachel and Josh had a few tickets each and I wanted those who had never gone to Conference to have the experience. We got up around 9 and made delicious pancakes! Then we watched Conference on our beds and heard the glorious announcement of a Tabernacle Temple!!! Wahoo! I was hoping that the Church would rebuild it because I love that building!
It is a face...

Game Day: BYU vs Utah State

This was the game I went to after hanging out with Cam. It was BYU vs Utah State and I went with most of my roommates. I got the ticket from my wonderful FHE brother Conner because he had gone home for the weekend. It was a blast and the game was super exciting! Sadly, Aubrey and Rachel and then Danissa and Josh left Brynna and I to hold down the fort. My favorite part about when BYU wins is that the bell tower plays the fight song and we can hear it very clearly at our apartment!
Nuff said...

A Day with Cam

To preface this I must say that when I read blogs I enjoy less commentary and lots of pictures so be sure to expect that from me.

Cameron and I have been friends since the 7th grade. Recently it was his birthday so we decided to celebrate since I don't get to see him very often and he is going on his mission to Mexico in 17 days from today. (Crazy right?!) It was a Friday afternoon (September 30) so we went to lunch at Zupas.  We didn't really know what to do after but it was a beautiful fall day and so I put out the suggestion of driving the Alpine loop to see the leaves. (It was a good thing we did because it snowed this weekend...) It was still pretty green up there but it was one of the best days ever!
Timp here we come!
The tie I got him :)

Yay fall!

Book of Mormon time!
At the end of the loop I asked Cam to come over to our apartment and read the Book of Mormon to me in English/ Spanish since I have to read for half an hour every day and I needed to get some things done (washing dishes, sweeping, etc...). It was fun to have him practicing! He is going to do a great job as a missionary! Then we played Risk and Monopoly on his iPad and I lost both times but it was okay to lose to him. And then it was game time so we had to break the fellowship of the loop. The end!

Game Day: BYU vs UCF

So one weekend (Friday September 23 to be exact...) Aubrey, Brynna and Rachel drove back to Brynna's house in Colorado. Josh and Danissa went to an overnight thing and so there were a bunch of extra football game tickets floating around. Josh kindly offered to give me his ticket so that I could go since I don't have an All Sports Pass. Meredith and Jacob were both working so it ended up being Conner and I at the game. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the game started at 6 so we didn't end up going until 7:30ish. It ended up being alright though, because we got to see all of the second half. Our seats were up in the top East bleachers as far South as you can go. After, we got some snacks at the Creamery and met up with Jacob and Meredith and watched Enchanted. It was a blast! (The pics are all from my phone so sorry about quality)
