Introducing: Meredith

So one of the most important people in my life right now is my room roommate Meredith. I didn't know her at all before we started to share a room and it has worked out just fine. She is from the sunny land of California and sadly hasn't really experienced any real snow since the couple of storms we have had have all melted... These pictures help illustrate why I love her.

She keeps me smiling
Nuff said.

We make some good breakfast

No fear of creepy creatures

We rock the outdoors

She looks like a 50s movie star

We can watch movies like this and find enjoyment

Hot chocolate buddies? Heck yeah!

She sometimes tries to be the furniture :)
She is someone I can talk to about anything

Well that is Mer. At least the things I can think of right now, she is much more than just what these pictures represent! I hope all of you get to meet her if you haven't already. Keep checking in for more of our random adventures!

People

I think if you are going to continue to read my blog, you are going to want to know who certain people are. Luckily for you, I am nice and am going to do a post on people you should come to recognize. I hope you enjoy all of the candid pictures I have either taken or found on Facebook if I didn't have enough. ;D

Yikes Maj!

Well hopefully you read the post about Mr. Spider. If you haven't, go read it now. Anyways, one night Mer and I were about to go to bed. Mer had turned off the lights and then remembered that she needed to get something so she turned them back on (this all took place before she got into bed). For some reason she pulled her sheets down with the light still on and found... duh duh duh... A SPIDER IN HER BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just say that it was a little harder to fall asleep that night...
Brave hands
Sorry you can't really see it in the picture but it was there, a small white spider...

Halloween Carnival

So I asked my FHE family if they wanted to volunteer at a Halloween carnival thing and they said yes. Sadly, some of them weren't able to go so we switched some things around and still went. We were in charge of the super hero room and helped kids make 3D masks, candy bracelets and let them take a picture with us, the superheroes! It was pretty fun :) The people involved were my lovely roommates: Rachel, Meredith, Aubrey, Danissa and Brynna and also included our FHE brothers Josh and Conner and our wardie Jack.

As you can see, the room was decorated pretty legit. Some of those decorations made their way to our apartment if you look close :)

Another One Gone

Right so one of the biggest things that you all might now about is that my good friend Ben left on his mission too! He is a great guy and doing well down in Brazil! The thing I miss most about him is his quirky sense of humor :)

Catching Up

Sorry to everyone who "reads" my blog. Let's face it, there aren't too many of you but that is just fine :) I will now attempt to fill you in on the past two months of my life... Don't worry, I'm trying to get back into a more consistent habit of this as next semester looms closer and closer. If you ever have any ideas about what you want me to write about, just let me know and I probably will.

A Bittersweet Farewell

Two of my BEST friends in the entire world are Elder Cameron K. and Elder Caleb C. These guys are so amazing in everything they do and are off to serve the Lord this coming Wednesday!!! I know they are both ready and that they will change everyone who meets them for the better, just like they have done to me! I am so grateful to have known them both for the past 6 years and for all of the crazy adventures we have had :) I just want to say a few things and experiences that I love about each of them:

Cameron: Day of the Loop, Morp, 8th grade, your kindness, reading scriptures to me in Spanish, showing me that Vanilla Coke is legit, how we are best friends, mailing cookies, and my song

Kristy, Cameron and I

That style is mission worthy!
Caleb: Primary, teaching me to play cards, how you always know the answer to a Gospel question, your Russian accent in A.P., how you are basically my brother and how I only gave you one ride home even though we are neighbors

Missionary sandwich!!!

Guys about to be added to the Missionary Wall
Daniel, Caleb, Matt, Ryan, Cameron, Andrew and Jeremy

E4 4ever!!! (Me, Daniel, Caleb and Cameron)
Another classy missionary!

Jacob's Birthday

So our FHE bro Jacob turned 19! (Hopefully you are starting to get to know everyone I talk about pretty well) Anyways, we (Jacob, Conner and myself) went to the Cannon Center for dinner and then had a party for FHE that night!

FROZEN YOGURT!!!

This is the post that everyone keeps asking me about so wa-la, it is blogged :) We got a text for 2 for 1 Frozen Yogurt and made the spontaneous decision to go get some! Yay college! Anyways there was Alex, Mike, Jacob, Josh, Brynna, Rachel, Aubrey, Danissa, Mer and me!!! It was fun but the frozen yogurt was not the best thing I have ever had in my life for the money we paid... (Oh I had gotten a free make-over that day so that's why I look more done up than usual...)
Deep conversation featuring Rachel  and Jacob
Yay phone picture quality! And my awesome roommate!

Jake and Brynna look so excited for picture time...

Yep we are that legit.

Then we went back to our dorm and got stuff done! Or went to sleep... I don't really remember :)

Conference: Part 4 - Sunday Afternoon

So after Mer and I went home, I decided I wanted to do my hair and wear a skirt so that I would remember that it was Sunday more easily. Well, we broke out the curlers and you'll have to see what happened... For the last session, we went back over to hang with the guys (they had Wi-Fi which made watching way easier and not in a hallway). I also had delicious cupcake mix and so we took that too.
Punching each other to stay awake???  Boys...

Best roommate ever!!!

The final four!

Yummy yummy!!!

Contempt for the camera...

Paparazzi style :)
So after Conference, all the boys were falling asleep so Mer and I went to perform a random act of charity and help the boys who live next door to our FHE bros clean up their kitchen. It was fun! After we just chilled out and then went to bed. (And all of our roommates came home safe). So ends the tale of Conference weekend!
